Lecture 4 Draft report from Tanzania (Fredy)

In Lecture 4, Fredy introduces the educational training programmes in Tanzania. He starts with the background information about the country. Then he mentions that there is no long term training for principals in Tanzania, but there are intensive 1-month training available. The Agency for the development of educational management contributes to the various training programmes for reginal educational leaders, district educational leaders, and teacher leaders. The third part of the presentation, Fredy mentions the target group and the content of the training. As to the financing aspect, the government, NGOs, schools are the main sponsors to the training programmes. In the future, Fredy says the main challenge is to expand the size of the educational training programme so that more principals can get proper training in Tanzania.
