Mallin pohjaa varten kartoitetaan kieltenopetuksen pedagogisia innovaatioita. Koulujen ja opettajien hyvät käytännöt halutaan tunnistaa, jakaa ja kehittää eteenpäin.<br/> <br/> </span>Hankkeessa pilotoidaan toimintatapoja, joissa opettajaopiskelijat, opettajat ja opettajankouluttajat tekevät yhteistyötä yli kieli-, oppiaine-, ja koulutusrajojen. Kielikasvatuksen pedagogiikan kehittämistoiminnassa hyödynnetään <br/> toimintatutkimusta, vertaismentorointia ja digitaalisia ympäristöjä.<br/> <br/> <b>The IKI-project - What is it about?</b></p> <p><span>The aim of the IKI-project is to </span><span>identify and promote </span><span>innovative model</span><span>s</span><span> for </span><span>the use and development of </span><span>language </span><span>in education from </span><span>early childhood and </span><span>throughout </span><span>comprehensive school</span><span>. The first phase of IKI involves mapping the wide range of innovations that exist in Finland such as language showering, bilingual education and co-located schools. The second phase will look more closely at what kind of innovative practices and principles are needed to </span><span>support and promot</span><span>e</span><span> language awareness </span><span>across different educational levels.
