Make a 6X6 grid with chalk outside. You can use a meter stick or just free hand. Randomly put the 26 letters of the alphabet (all uppercase or lowercase). The 10 extra spaces are free spaces.

Practice going through the alphabet from A to Z.
Can you use the ABC board to spell your name?
Jump onto all the vowels (A, E, I, O, U).
Use the ABC board to practice your weekly spelling words, or words you know, like 'stop.'
When creating the board, encourage your child to write the letters with you.

An extension activity would be a red fish, blue fish pairs match memory game. All you need is red and blue construction paper, markers and a little time! Cut out 10 fish in red and 10 in blue and write uppercase letters on one color, and lowecase of the same letters on the other. You can choose the letters that are most challenging for your children. Like any other matching game, flip 2 during your turn, if it is a match, it's your pair!
