Lecture 1 is the group presentation of Bezzina's article The Road Less Traveled. You will hear the summary of the article as well as the key ideas which focus on building professional communities in secondary schools. Then three students will relate the article to the school context in their own countries. In China, Lin criticizes the disingenuous quality-based education. Yasmine analyzes that in Jamaica, building teachers' professional learning community should go before decentralization. In Cameroon, Gilbert also reflects on the professional learning community in the schools he worked in.
