Here are interviews of the young entrepreneuers (2012-2013):

Halukiosk (Jali Närhi):

What is your idea?
To sell goods to students at kiosk.

Where did you get your idea?
Just made up something students would buy.

Do you do co-operation with other companies and people?
Stores and wholesales.

What have you learned during the course?
Making money isn't the highest priority. Making customers happy is more important.

Where do you get the tools you use and products you sell?
From stores.

Is your company popular?
When Lasse or Jali are selling.

How hard is it to run a company?
Not hard because it's small and local. The toughest thing is to get the goods to school.

How much do you have to spend your freetime on the company (outside of the schooltime)?
Only when we have to get the goods or when there are events after the school day.

What is your idea?
To make metal products, repairing machines and contract work.

Where did you get your idea?
It's my lifestyle.

Do you do co-operation with other companies and people?
Of course, it's very important for the company's operation.

What have you learned during the course?
I have learned about companies' paperwork and management legislation.

Where do you get the tools you use and products you sell?
I have invented the products myself and they were first made just for my personal use but then I started selling them.

Is your company popular?
I have quite wide range of clients and quite much of snow clearing work and machine maintenance.

How hard is it to run a company?
I have much work but I like it so it isn't hard.

How much do you have to spend your freetime on the company (outside of the schooltime)?
This is my lifestyle, so pretty much. The company runs completely in my freetime.

Youth entrepreneurship

Youth entrepreneurship is a course you can take in our school. You can start your own business for a year with real money. With this course students learn about entrepreneurship and how to run a company. Students also learn teamwork and how to take responsibility for their company. They also practise leadership, presenting, planning and financial control.

Agipoint NY: Veera Niemi's company is about dog agility. The main point of dog agility is for the dog to run and do stunts and tricks on an obstacle course as fast as they can. Veera's company trains dogs to succeed in dog agility. In Veera's Blog, she says that she had always dreamed of starting his own company, but never actually tried to make one. Until she came to Halikon Lukio, Halikon Lukio's youth entrepreneurship course offered her just what she needed for her dream to come true.

Dragon NY: Dragon NY is a company which was also formed through the entrepreneurship course in Halikon Lukio. Dragon NY is a company that makes drawings (For example, portraits). The company was made by Linnea Sjöblom.
