HOMEWORK FOR THE WEEKEND.

Thursday 9th September
CLASSWORK 1: We looked at the Finnish YO guide to long English.
CLASSWORK 2: Then we looked at p98> in the textbook.
CLASSWORK 3: We then read through the sheet about how to jazz up an essay.
CLASSWORK 4: We then did p44 Ex4g.
CLASSWORK 5: Please either finish the "jazzing up an essay sheet", p56-57 or p80-81.

Wednesday 8th September
CLASSWORK 1: We did the test (Gimkit Classic first).
CLASSWORK 2: We then kept working through the writing topics.
CLASSWORK 3: Anybody that finished looked at p98->.

Tuesday 7th September
CLASSWORK 1: We revised for the test and then did it.
CLASSWORK 2: Then we did the listening exercise and checked it.
CLASSWORK 3: Anybody that finished that quickly looked at the revision (p98 onwards).
CLASSWORK 4: Then we started looking at all the writing tasks from the 2019 and 2020 exams.
HOMEWORK: Revise for a test on Wednesday on "Economy" (QUIZLET).

Friday 3rd September
CLASSWORK 1: We played Gimkit and did the test.
CLASSWORK 2: We then talked about apostrophes.
CLASSWORK 3: Then we worked on either the mistake sheet or the 2021k long exam.
CLASSWORK 4: We also did the listening exercises on p76 and 27 and checked them both.
HOMEWORK 1: Please finish your work on the long exam (or - in the case of PPa - the short exam).
HOMEWORK 2: Revise for a test on Tuesday on Working Life (QUIZLET).
HOMEWORK 3: Revise for a test on Wednesday on "Economy" (QUIZLET).

Thursday 2nd February
CLASSWORK 1: We checked the homework.
CLASSWORK 2: We looked at some mistakes from 2020 autumn. We checked 1-12.
CLASSWORK 3: We then looked at the exam from the spring.
CLASSWORK 4: We then watched p27 Ex2i once in full and then once up to 3 minutes.
HOMEWORK: Please revise on the words on p96. Test tomorrow (English>Finnish).

Wednesday 1st September
CLASSWORK 1: We checked the homework.
CLASSWORK 2: We then kept doing p152-153.
CLASSWORK 3: We then started looking at the spring 2021 exam (PITKÄ ////// LYHYT).
CLASSWORK 4: We did Ex7g on p76.
OLD HOMEWORK 1: Please finish the listening exam (above).
OLD HOMEWORK 2: Please do p152 Ex14.
NEW HOMEWORK: Test on Friday on p96 (En>Fin).

Tuesday 31st August
CLASSWORK 1: We went through Ex4a, 4b, 4c and 4f.
CLASSWORK 2: We talked about the questions in Ex4e.
CLASSWORK 3: We also checked the homework - p162 Ex18.
CLASSWORK 4: We then started going through the grammar on p149>. We started Ex12 and 13.
NEW HOMEWORK (for Wednesday): Please finish Ex4a, 4b, 4c and 4f.

Friday 27th August
CLASSWORK 1: We played Gimkit and then did the test.
CLASSWORK 2: We listened to unit 4 and then translated it into Finnish.
CLASSWORK 3: We then watched a WILTY.
CLASSWORK 4: We then started p40 Ex4a, 4b and 4c.
OLD HOMEWORK: Please finish p162 Ex18.
NEW HOMEWORK: Please do the listening exercise (see above).

Thursday 26th August
CLASSWORK 1: We thought a little about the writing topic.
CLASSWORK 2: We then did the AB exercise (imperfekti-).
CLASSWORK 3: We then finished reading about the prepositional phrases.
CLASSWORK 4: We then started the writing.
CLASSWORK 5: Students that finished went on to the BLUE GRAMMAR BOOK (unit 128).
NEW HOMEWORK: Please finish p162 Ex18.
OLD HOMEWORK: We will have a test on unit 1 (p13) on Friday - QUIZLET.

Wednesday 25th August
CLASSWORK 1: We checked the homework.
CLASSWORK 2: We then played Gimkit with the unit 1 words.
CLASSWORK 3: Then we read though the prepositional phrases on p156 onwards.
TODAY'S HOMEWORK: We will have a test on unit 1 (p13) on Friday - QUIZLET.

Tuesday 24th August
CLASSWORK 1: We started by doing the vocab test.
CLASSWORK 2: Then we checked last week's homework.
CLASSWORK 3: Then we read the grammar (chapter 2).
HOMEWORK: Please finish exercises 10 and 11. (pages 146 and 148)

Friday 20th August
CLASSWORK 1: We started with Quizlet Live and then test.
CLASSWORK 2: We then did the listening on p11.
CLASSWORK 3: We then finished translating text 2.
CLASSWORK 4: Then we did p24 Ex2a, p25 Ex2e and p26 Ex2g.
CLASSWORK 5: Then we did p26 Ex2f.
CLASSWORK 6: We then checked 2a, 2c, 2d, 2e and 2g.
CLASSWORK 7: We checked Ex4 and 7 from the Grammar.
CLASSWORK 8: We watched a WILTY.
CLASSWORK 9: We also did p142.
HOMEWORK 1: Please learn the irregular verbs (QUIZLET).
HOMEWORK 2: Please do p143 Ex8.

Thursday 19th August
CLASSWORK 1: We started with text 2.
CLASSWORK 2: Then we did a listening exercise (audio just below).
CLASSWORK 3: Any students that finished the listening did/started p25 Ex2e.
CLASSWORK 4: Then we did the writing (SLIDE).

TODAY'S HOMEWORK: Test on Friday on the words from Text 2 (QUIZLET).
YESTERDAY'S HOMEWORK 1: Please do p24 Ex2c and p25 Ex2d. Please do these for Friday.

Wednesday 18th August

CLASSWORK 2: We then thought briefly about the writing exercise (SLIDE).
CLASSWORK 3: We then watched a WILTY.
HOMEWORK 1: Please do p24 Ex2c and p25 Ex2d. Please do these for Friday.
HOMEWORK 2: Please do this listening (below) if you haven't yet.
HOMEWORK 3: Test on Friday on the words from Text 2.

Tuesday 17th August
CLASSWORK 1: We played Quizlet Live and did the test.
CLASSWORK 2: We then did p138.
CLASSWORK 3: We then did p139 and p140.
CLASSWORK 4: We then watched a WILTY.
CLASSWORK 5: We then read p141 and 142.
HOMEWORK 1: Don't forget to to the listening exercise.

Friday 13th August
CLASSWORK 1: We talked about the weekend.
CLASSWORK 2: We then did p17 and 18 in the textbook.
CLASSWORK 3: We then did Ex 1i with a partner.
CLASSWORK 4: We then read p133-136.
CLASSWORK 5: We looked at the top 100 regular verbs.
CLASSWORK 6: We then started the exercises on p137-138. Only two students moved on to the yellow exercise (#4).
HOMEWORK 1: Please learn THESE words again. Test next Tuesday.

Thursday 12th August
CLASSWORK 1: We looked at the example exercises for the short English exam (HERE).
CLASSWORK 2: We then finished translating the text and then did Ex1a. When the first group had finished p14 then we moved on to...
CLASSWORK 3: We played the game for another 5-10 minutes.
CLASSWORK 4: Then we started the writing exercise. (THIS was the "short" writing selection. HERE is the "long" writing task).

Wednesday 11th August 2021
CLASSWORK 1: We started by talking about how we're feeling!
CLASSWORK 2: We then listened to p11 and p12 and translated (most of) it into Finnish with our partner.
CLASSWORK 3: We then started the "game" on pages 6-8. We "saved" the game and where we were so that we could finish tomorrow.
HOMEWORK: Please look at this "tehtävänanto" and "malli" and think what you could write about tomorrow in the lesson.

Tuesday 10th August 2021
CLASSWORK: We looked at THIS POWERPOINT about revising for the "ylioppilaskokeet" and thought about the year ahead.
