My week in Germany 5.10 - 12.10.2017

DAY 1: Thursday 5.10 - Arriving

On Thursday we had to wake up early. Our plane left around 7 am from Helsinki. We were in Lubeck at 12 am and then we went to eat hamburgers. I was so tired and hungry. It was raining a whole day in Lubeck. In the afternoon I finally met my host family. The family was really friendly to me. I went to bed early and I slept very well. Our arriving to Germany went fine without any problems.

DAY 2: Friday 6.10 - Hansa Park

On Friday we spent that sunny day in Hansa Park (an amusement park). I think everyone had a really fun day at that place. The amusement park was a little different than in Finland but I liked it. In the evening we spent fun time with other students in the center of Lubeck.

DAY 4: Sunday 8.10 - Theory day

On Sunday we met at school at 9 am. There we were getting know details and facts about the migration. We worked in groups that was fun. After the school we went to eat to Peter Pan. The day was just okay.

DAY 5: Monday 9.10 - Church asylum

In the morning we visited Kloster Nutschau where we were getting know something about church asylum. We ate there and the food was delicious. The day in Kloster Nutschau was interesting and different than the others. When we got back to Lubeck we did some shopping and visited St. Peter's church.

DAY 6: Tuesday 10.10 - Berlin

We met at the school at 6:55 am. It took about 4 hours to get Berlin by bus. We went to museum called The story of Berlin. It was great that we had a finnish guide there at the museum. A lunch was just okay. After the lunch we went to see sights like the Holocaust Memorial, Branderburg's gate and Reichstag. We were also shopping in the Mall of Berlin. I think we hadn't so much time to walk around or shop. It was nice to visit and see Berlin.

DAY 7: Wednesday 11.10 - Farewell

In the morning we were visiting lessons at the school. I was in english lesson and it was interesting. Afternoon we had tour in Lubeck. In my opinion Lubeck is really beautiful city. In the evening we spent time a great time together and it was sad to say goodbye to polish and german students.

DAY 8: Thursday 12.10 - Back to home

Early in the morning we had to start our journey to Finland. We said goodbye to german students at the train station. We spent our day in Hamburg. The day was really long and tiring. At the airport I bought some souverins to my family. Our flight went fine and when we got back to Helsinki we went to Kotka by bus.

I'm happy that I met new friends and learnt something about different cultures. Thank you! <3
