FAEA´s main responsibilities are promoting non-formal adult education and learning, promoting the research on non-formal adult education, and international co-operation.<br/> <br/> </span></span> <p><strong>Promoting Non-formal Adult Education and Learning</strong></p> <p>The goal of the association is to secure learning opportunities for adults and economical resources for non-formal adult education institutes. FAEA is actively engaged in discussion with the ministry of education on the future development of adult education and training. <br/> <br/> </p> <p><strong>Promoting the research on non-formal adult education</strong></p> <p>FAEA co-operates with three Finnish universities in strenghtening and increasing the research on non-formal adult education. The co-operational program is called<span> </span>Freedom and Responsibility in Liberal Adult Education.
